You could focus on the following:
What is the difference between actual texture and implied texture?
Explore a variety of ways of creating texture (e.g collage/ impasto/ drawing/ frottagge/ rubbings)
Your two drawing assignments for texture are:

b) ceating an illusion of an egg with a variety of hairstyles.
Make sure you have a diigo (http://www.diigo.com/) and gmail account. also check out the shading tutorials and texture powerpoint.
