Sep 16, 2014

Some information from: http://google-africa.blogspot.com/2014/07/doodle-4-google-2014-doodle-your-dreams.html

"We’re inviting school students between the ages of 6 and 17 to create a Google Doodle depicting the “South Africa of My Dreams”. From today, you can register to take part and have a chance to win fantastic prizes for you and your school, as well as the chance to see your doodle displayed on the home page of Google.

We have gathered a panel of local guest judges who are passionate about children’s art to help select our winner, including DJ Fresh, Springbok great Pat Lambie; Survivor champ Graham Jenneker, author John van de Ruit, media and tech entrepreneur Seth Rotherham, music diva Yvonne Chaka Chaka, and Spud star Sven Ruygrok.

They will select the best Doodles in four age groups: Ages 6-8; Ages 9-11; Ages 12-14; and Ages 15-17. We’ll then ask the public to vote for their favourite Doodles from each age group and the winners will receive prizes, including tablets, Google Play vouchers and R100,000 worth of technology for the national winner’s school. A Google doodler will select the overall winner, whose doodle will be shown on the Google homepage for a day for millions of South Africans to enjoy. "
