What to learn for November exams

Grade 8:

• Perspective
• Beadwork Artists (Xhosa, Ximba, Mahlangu, Monkeybiz) and meanings of Zulu Dolls
• Heath Nash

NB bring coloured pencils to the exam :-)

Grade 9:

• Artists studied in class: Hanson, Dunywa, Kentridge, Arnott, Segal
• practise your unseen analysis and tonal drawing skills 

Grade 10:

•  Artists studied in class: Nala, Ardmore, De Beer, Verster and Dube
• practise your unseen analysis skills (learning the elements and principles of art will help you with this)

Your practical exam is based on tonal and colour drawing.

Grade 11
Your exam is based on three themes- Art and Politics (including a question on the Dvd the Art of Persuausion), Art and Spirtuality and Gender Issues.

Your prac exam is a concept drawing, however you may use mixed media.
